I've owned my new Clubman S for about 2 weeks now, and I must say that Mini's iPod interface is about the worst that I've ever experienced. In fact, even after referring to the manual several times, I'm at a complete loss as to how the iPod is designed to navigate. Is it me, or is it that confusing ?
Will do. But, the gist of my difficulty is trying to figure out how to properly navigate the USB/Ipod interface. Is seems impossible to figure out how to access music categories?
Ok. But u DO have USB under the dash area? And are using the Y cable? Your options are limited to just what you see on the radio above the buttons once u select the iPod from the audio menu. Track. Random. List. Etc.

I have the USB input in the area that you mentioned, and after I select the iPod mode a limited screen appears along with a host of buttons and corresponding menu(s). But, nothing really seems to function accordingly ? I find myself in this endless loop of trying to select either albums, artists, playlist ect... to no avail Worse, trying to locate a particular song, artist or album seems impossible ? Obviously, I'm doing something wrong ? Intuitive, this system is not !
that's sadly, how it works. it is a pita. you can't navigate to a certain song, other than scrolling ALPHBATICALLY to the song you want. so, no, you aren't doing anything wrong.

Great. I must have an average 8000 songs on any one of my iPods. What a horrible design indeed !
