Well, the 2 big complaints about my Justa has been the Speedo being off by 4 MPH and the nasty noise comming from the road. Of course I had those stock contenental tires on it, 175/65R15 that wore out at 19K ( thats how many miles I have now) and they were definatly gettin bald. after a incident where the front would not seem to grab the road when turnin, I had to get new tires. Read all of the posts here and on other MINI NG's, and searched Tire Rack, Discount Tires, Costco and others. Finally decided to get the Michelin Primacy 195/65R15's. What a astounding difference those have made. No they were not very cheap, but Boy do the grab the road, and the nasty noise has dropped by 2/3. 60,000 mile warranty and helped the speedo out by 1 to 2 mph. Look wider and a touch taller (well, they ARE) and my enjoyment drivin has definatly increased back to when I first got it.

 

Sounds like the new tires and a larger size work for you, which is good. I am sure the taller tire also rides better than the factory size. Post a picture so we can see how they look on the car.

 

Finally got around to a Pic. The biggest factor was fitting on a 5.5 inch rim.
