If true, then...
* serious oil consumption
* oil in the coolant
* low / lack of compression values (when completing a check through the spark plug hole), and horrible livability.

Oh, its for reals. At the dealer now (thank you extended warranty).

Should I be concerned about the head at all?

Typically no. The busted gasket material is easily crush-able and usually passes through the combustion chamber without any harm to the valvetrain.
