How Do I ...

I have a couple questions. The 3rd brake light (upper) on my clubman has moisture in it. How can I dry this out and stop it from continuing? The other question I have is probably just my ignorance but here goes....I've noticed there is an aftermarket exhaust system called catback can someone please explain what this is.
Anyone in the Roanoke Virginia area?

Cat back system. Refers to an exhaust system from right behind the catalytic converter to the rear of the car.

3rd brake light moisture? If you're out of warranty I'd just buy a new one. I've never been able to come up with a good repair.

BTW, I lived in Roanoke for a few years back in the 90's working for GE. Loved that town. Kinda miss it and the great motorcycle roads. I'm also a VT grad.

Third Brake light

It is very easy to remove the third brake light. In fact I replace the red lens light that came on my non -S mini Clubman with the clear lens light. Clubman S models have clear lens on their 3rd brake light. Just a few screws. If you need a red lens light I can give you a good price on one.

Well I was looking closer at the light and the clear lens is coming loose from the housing. I dried the moisture out and the lens was basically hanging by a thread. I cleaned it and was able to glue it back. This apparently worked and should hold me until I can get a new one. Man those things are expensive. Mini of Atlanta shows it for $146.00. Anyone know of a cheaper one anywhere? I want to keep it clear as it is an S.

Tar Heel MINIs have folks in the Roanoke/SWVA area. Check our site out. I think they may even have a gtg coming up.

Thanks for the tip jcauseyfd. Went over to the web site and signed up. I hope to make it to an event soon. The next month a busy one for me. I have been to Flow Mini last month that 15% discount would have been nice then. Incidentally Flow is the closest dealer to me. They were great and everything they told me happened as they said.
