No, I'm not farting.

In SPORT mode, I've noticed a "clicking" noise coming from the back of the car on rapid acceleration. Is this normal? If so, can someone tell me what's going on?

Only in Sport mode? And only while accelerating?
Is it rotational clicking where the faster you go, the frequency increases?

I hardly ever drive with SPORT mode off, but the few times I did, I didn't notice the sound.

Not rotational clicking. Although, it seems to happen more, the more rapid the acceleration. I.e., if I put the pedal on the floor, it's there. If I accelerate moderately, it's there less. If I accelerate gently, it's not there. Seems to be most prevalent whilst accelerating through 30-50 mph.

Maybe something to do with the turbocharger??

It's never there when driving at constant speed or decelerating.

At first, I thought it was cargo in the boot hitting against the back doors. But, since then, I've definitely determined it is not.

 

Sport mode version of pop and burble?

 

So, I did some more investigating. I cannot get it to happen when SPORT is off. And, it definitely happens AS the turbo kicks in, because I hear it at the same time I get the initial "boost".
