Got my R55 on the 25th. Was actually in the WRX market but took a random test drive and fell in love instantly. Can't wait to start modding when the warranty runs out. The car was missing the factory skid plate so I ordered a nice superior aftermarket one. Getting the windows tinted next week and ordering a the adjustable short shifter, cover to keep it closed off under the car, and the shift gate trim thingy. Aside from that she'll stay fairly stock as far as performance for a year or two. I may add the JCW intake and Access Port since I can pull the tune out for warranty work and the JCW intake is allowed by warranty.

I'm just so excited! I haven't "built" a car in 7 years (spent my time and money on motorcycles) so I'm happy to have a new obsession to play with and not have to worry about being run over by anything smaller than a Hummer.

What are some other "must have" mods? I'd like to improve the suspension, of course. Have been looking at coilovers, sways, control arms, etc.

 

welcome to the club-man.... There is a lot of mods that can be done, just search thru 2nd gen threads and you will find a lot.
