R55 Roof rails install
Roof rails install
I have roof rails for my Clubman but no tools to install them. Kept the rails from my first Clubbie, but forgot to get the tools out. On the diagram attached, I am looking for the parts #5 (torque wrench), #6 (assembling hook), and #7 (dismantling hook & plugs). Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase these items? Anyone have those laying around they might be willing to sell?
Thanks!
Thanks!
schatzy62 - spoke to the dealer. The parts in question are about $50. Was looking for a cheaper alternative. I traded in the car at the dealer in december 2010, so not much chance they would have it i'm sure.
jbobp- it is listed on the part sheet as a torque wrench. It actually tightens to a specific torque. I just don't know what that # is.
Thanks!

There are torque Allen wrenches and that will be harder to find.
Just get a torque wrench and allen bits - best of both worlds:

Actually part #5 IS a Torque Wrench it has only one marking on it and it is at 6NM.
It is NOT a allen or torx it is a socket. 10mm if my memory serves me correctly.
It can be seen in this picture. it is the item on the far right.
To the OP I doubt you will find it any cheaper anywhere else as they are specific to the MINI and if $50 for the parts is going to break the bank then maybe you should look into a cheaper ride.
