Valentine One & iPhone Mounting Questions

I have searched a bit on the Forum with no luck, so I figured I would post up the question. I am looking to add a Valentine One radar detector and iPhone 4s into my 2012 Clubman and was curious what vendors carry items specific to the MINI?

I have seen the Craven Speed iPhone mount that attaches behind the steering wheel, is anyone using this and what do you think of it? Does it allow you to connect the power cord to the phone as well?

V1, I have a 2004 Corvette and I have used two different set ups from vendors for my V1 and was curious if anyone makes a visor mount for the Clubman. I want to stay away from mirror mounts because I plan to add an aftermarket Mito Mirror. I have seen items for Corvette from Blend Mount and Great lakes Trophies.
And to power the V1 using the mirror's power source the InvisiCord. Anything like that for MINI?

I am looking forward to having a 2nd addiction my Corvette and MINI!

Thanks.

I have found a couple threads with info, but if you have anything you have done that's custom or crazy, let me know. Thanks.

I looked at the Craven mounts. They also have a hidden 12v kit that lets you run your IPhone power cord in hiding with just a little bit coming out to power your phone.

If you have two devices you use frequently, like I do, you can get the "w" bracket that lets you arrange them behind the steering wheel on either side. I was planning on putting my GPS on one side and my ipod on the other. My smartphone will sync into the bluetooth option so I don't have to have it handy while on road trips.

I e-mailed them and they're very responsive to questions.

Works great. I have the power hard wired with a cigarette lighter extension. So I routed the power down into the dash and then connect to that cig lighter extension which runs to the fuse box via an "add a circuit."

Craven Speed is a good company to deal with they have great customer service and make excellent products. I have purchased products from the multiple times.

Thanks for the picture on the extension arm! Which length is that? I was considering the extension, but didn't have a picture from the Craven site to see how it would work out.

I think that (extension) would work well for positioning my GPS where I'm used to seeing it.

The other side can fit my Ipod. I like to hit it from time to time to skip songs or see what's playing (yeah, major driving distraction, that)

There's an auto shop here in SoCal that specializes in MINI tweaks and are Craven dealers. I'd probably ask them to do my 12v wiring.

Its the longer one. I think they call it a tibia. I had a TomTom One XL on that arm before I got the TomTom iPhone car kit. I took the suction cup part off and mounted the ring to the ball on the end of that tibia arm extension.

The wiring is so easy. If I can do it , you can too. Just find a fuse that is not being used. I tapped the fuse for the park distance (PDC) option since my car does not have that. There is a sticky that talk all about the fuses in the car and in the engine bay.

This is what my hubby did on his R53, mounted it up on the ceiling, by the back window. Use's a remote display and audio unit.
