Yakima Roof Rack install help
I have a 2008 Clubman and I am installing Yakima 54” roof “tracks” which permanently mount on the roof with PlusNuts that are drilled through the roof.
[I have considered the Thule, Yakima and MINI removable racks that attach via the rain gutter, but they will not accomplish what I want, and MINI will not install the roof rails that are now available as standard equipment for newer models on my 2008 vehicle.]
When I drill into the roof I want to make sure don’t damage any wiring or other things between the roof and the headliner.
Has anyone installed this rack system?
Does anyone have a schematic of the ceiling, which shows areas to avoid drilling into?
