Pairing Phone

May be on wrong forum so excuse me. Have a new 2010 Clubman S with Bluetooth and IPOD option but am unable to pair my Blackberry Storm. After following all instructions on pairing and meeting the 30 second rule it searches and states unable to pair. At wits end on this and don't know next step. Called Mini and that was a waste and they could not help either.

I can't pair my wife's phone either (I forget the model) but search this forum, there is a thread that takes you to a collected list of phones that work (or don't). Good luck.

Hmmmmm.... I have a Verizon Storm 1 and I didn't have any problem with pairing the phone with my 2009 MCS. Just a couple of questions:

1. Have you managed to pair the Storm with any other devices?

2. When you were trying to setup the pair, did you set the Storm to listen and the MINI to search? That seems to work the best. If you tried that, reverse the order.

3. Did the phone ask for a password, mine always does and it usually gives me an option to always accept the connection so that it will not bug you the next time you turn power up the MINI.

4. BT is enabled under the "Connections" menu, right (I know it's a dumb question, but sometimes you gotta go with Oakums Razor)?

5. Did you check the Bluetooth setup to make sure that the MINI is not listed? If it is, try deleting it and re-doing the pairing.

6. What OS are you running on the Storm? If it's version 4.x try updating the OS.

And last but not least, I seem to remember reading on NAM that some folks had problems with pairing their phones and it turned out to be an issue with the MINI and the dealer had to update their MINI software.

Hope this helps out some, if I think of anything else, I'll post it back here.
