Thule Basket

Hey

Was wondering if anyone has come across the Thule basket on a clubman....photos...or even a link on the web of a photo. I see what the basket looks like from the thule site but would love to see it on a clubbie before i buy it. Thanks

Andrew

Check out the threads regarding roof racks/rails here in the Clubman thread. Quite a few owners had Thule boxes. Hmmmmm basket not sure.... use the search function to search the threads. Good luck

I do not remember anyone having a picture of a "basket" on the clubman but it will look just the same as on any other car - like a basket.

When i searched I did see a basket in the Show us your clubman thread, not sure if a MINI basket though and not a Thule.

Clubman Rally with OEM Basket

All:

New to Minis and this fine forum, here is a pic of my 2010 Clubman S "Rally" edition with green mirror caps and escutcheons, JCW body kit, monochromatic paint, Black 17" wheels, roof basket and black driving lights

I really, really like this car and am totally impressed with the build quality, driving experience and overall dealer experience I have had.

I will post some better pics later and verify whether the basket is made by Thule or not. My parts guy thinks it is which would be great as I then can use my thule bike racks and key them the same as the basket for ease of use.

Cheers

Bob

That particular basket looks very similar to euro design basket from Thule, but if you ask anyone at Thule they will deny that they make parts for MINI just as they deny and MINI denies that the cross bars are by OEM Rack bars are by Thule but if yo measure them they are the same as the Thule Aero Bar

Great feed back from everyone here. Thanks! I have been looking around and even called Thule to speak with someone about everything. They told me I needed 50" bars...I measured that compared to my roof on the clubbie and its like a good 2.5" overhang on each side (so i think he was wrong). And then he gave me part numbers for the fit kit and mounting system, totally different from what the Thule site give me when going through the Fit Guide. So now I'm all over the place here...

If you own a clubbie and have a roof rack maybe you could PM me and talk a bit about the setup

Thanks
