Is the chrome bonnet scoop worth it? From what I read it's just tapes down over the existing scoop. Is that true?

 

I got a chrome scoop that I got from my dealer. It's actually replaces the original scoop. The first scoop I got it warped from the heat from the turbo.
My dealer replaced it free with a functioning scoop that had holes in it to let air go on to the turbo. I havn't had any problem since them with it warping and it looks great and I get alot of compliments on it.

I see more peeps taking the chrome/silver plastic off their Minis.
I think they look better in black, not chrome.
You can replace the chrome grill wrap, headlight chrome, and door handles(not comfort access handles).
