Just purchased a new 2008 Clubman S about two weeks ago. Automatic transmission. Took it on a 1500 mile trip and everything was fine. Loved the car, until yesterday.....

On the way to work my transmission failed completely losing all power to the wheels. It appears that the transmission is completely shot since the car will move even when it is in park. It has a little less than 1800 miles on it.

I am waiting for an update from the dealer and Mini Corporate as to how they plan to address this issue.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

 

Maybe you will get lucky and it will be a software issue.

 

This is a question to be asked in the Stock Problems/Issues section you will get a much better response there as the transmition is common to the R56 and R57 as well.
