Today something very strange happened. I was riding down the road in my 2009 clubman s when both windows went down without me touching the switch and the front and rear fog lights turned on. After it happened, neither the window or fog light switches worked(i.e. I couldn't roll the windows back up or turn off the fog lamps). I stopped the car and turned the engine off and then back on. Everything began to work propertly again. About 15 mins later the same thing happened.

I have driven it since then and it has not duplicated itself.

Has this happened to anyone else?

 

See the 2nd gen stock issues thread for more info on this. It's well covered there and is not a clubman specific issue. I've also had it happen to my coupe.

 

OK so it wasn't the software problem others have experienced. The switch circuit board that controls the windows, fog lamps, etc. was bad. It was replaced under warranty and is as good as new!

 

My ghost turns on my Clubman headlamps when I vacuum around the driver's floor area. I'm not hitting anything (I think) and it happens often. I have to turn the ignition on and off to put them out.
