R55 Cold weather
Cold weather
I am constantly amazed at the abilities of my Clubman. This morning made a run down Hwy 50 to Annapolis, outside temp was 24 or so..BRRRRR!
The road is rather straight and smooth. The clubman ran fast and smooth, 4100 rpm in 6th gear
, and still had power to spare! Was passed, by another car (BMW something), and I fell in behind, smooth, and fast, no problem staying with him. The Run Flats are a little rough, but the do stretchout well. Only problems are when the RFT hit the expansion joints, THUMB!
Jeez, the Clubbie performs as expected and better!

4100 in 6th
4100 in 6th gear is really hauling it. I am usually at 3100 (ish) when doing an indicated 77 MPH (actual 73).
I do agree that the car performs even better than I expected. Great gas mileage, handling and acceleration is very strong.
Over all, it has been a very positive experience. Except for the ride from the run flats.

Ok Mr. Magoo so tell us how fast you were really cruising at? I've hit 115mph once or maybe twice, and there was still plenty of power to keep pushing it.
Uh I'm thinking a new "Top Speed" thread. And we want proof, I mean with our odomoter the size of the moon its should be pretty easy to capture speed.
