Looking to install harness in my mini for track day use. Any experience with this out there?

 

You want the Schroth Quick Fit harnesses that you can put in and take out easily. They should be out by next years track season.

 

Thanks for the information. I went on the Schroth website and it looks like they have what I need. More importantly, do you have any information on how I install the necessary connections to my Mini. That is, a guide for the belts over a stock seat and how and where I should be attaching each end of the belts to the car?

Using a 4-pt harness in a vehicle without a roll bar is extremely dangerous. Essentially the harness will force you on your head in a rollover situation. 3-pt harnesses are designed so that you collapse forward. In the US roofs are only required to support 1.4 times the weight of the car. You could be pinned to the seat back with the weight of the car on your neck. Be careful.
