Whoa, i didn't know it doesn't rain in California, well i guess that explains the wildfires.. hmm
Radar-wise, the day I posted this was atypical. We're used to PNW-like storms..light green with occasional dark green, sometimes a spot of yellow for a localized cloud cell. On Saturday, the bay area had huge masses of yellow, orange and spots of red, and this was over hours, instead of a localized cell. In the midwest, we considered yellow/orange to be 'flash flood' type precip, but somehow the soils here are so parched, they're no where near saturation even after this storm, the flooding was insignificant (leaves are just now beginning to fall). The next storm tomorrow may actually cause more issues due to leaves plugging drains. For those of us that live on hillsides, any obstructions can quickly become problematic, flooding is certainly not limited to low-lying areas!
I'm going to try the RainX-type products..I guess I'm just not used to such a small windshield. On the Dodge, the pass. wiper pushes water up over the roof and doesn't sweep it into driver's side view, regardless of wiper speed or drive speed. It simply has a different sweep angle, due to the larger 'windscreen'.
