Clubman Car Club?

I was talking about this with HTClubman (my other half) the other day, does anyone want to have a group/club for Clubman people. It could be informal, local, regional, national. We just joined Socal Mini Maniacs and for an event this weekend there was only 2 Clubmans RSVPed for the event. We have meet a lot of great people in the forum and was hoping for a way to plan a get together or two. Just an excuse hopefully to share with other Clubman owners and see their great rides.

I am not trying to be elitist or anything, I just know most clubs must be 96% Mini Cooper. I thought it could be cool to have the Clubmans represent.

Clubman for LIFE!!!!

I think it is a good idea and will be interested when I get my Clubman.

Sorry, but as an owner of one of each, I can't join a club that leaves Sooper out.

It is not a bad idea. So far, I have only been on 3 MINI runs and other than MINIS in the Mountains, I'm the only Clubbie around. That makes me special and I like feeling special. Like I was saying, it is not a bad idea but I still think of mine as a MINI so I'm happy with my New Mexico MINI Club.

I was not thinking of anything to take away from a Mini Cooper Club, I was just thinking of something even if it was an informal group or has 1 event a year or something. I just want to see more Clubmans...

Ok...So raputinj and I will hook up with Donna and Mike and Casey so we can see more Clubmans and 'talk shop'.

Certainly for those of you who are lucky enough to have 2 or more MINIs - I can see where you might be torn!

I think our idea was for those who have Clubmans and are interested in periodically getting together - then let's do it! Obviously many MINI owners are active members of 'formal clubs' - which is cool, we are too!

I just know the excitement and 'connection' we feel when we see, talk, or connect with another Clubman owner .

Yes, you're probably right on that one...but perhaps if there is a larger event next year and we're all there, maybe we Clubbie owners can hook up??

I'd consider joining, but I have a similar distance problem, as me and my Clubman (Stella Blue) are from NH!

What a coincidence that you live right in the middle. I would just love to get together with some Clubman Owners, see other people Clubmans, meet people in person. I would be willing at minimum to have a West Coast or South West group. It was just a thought, I have purchased the domain name ClubmanMotoring.com, if it works out I can use it for a group, otherwise I will just turn it into a Blog site to talk about our Clubman. If enough people ever became interested we could have regional groups all part of a central group, a big group, or just my wife and I a Clubman group of two. Any input would be appreciated please feel free to PM me if someone is interested or has ideas.

We could start a regional New England Club. Heck, I'd bet we'd attract nearly 5 members! Imagine how much money we could raise for charity at our rallies!

Count me in, I just wish that there were more participants here in Central Florida! I may have to move to Socal to hang with everyone.

HT if there was anyway I could get my wife to move there I would. She does work for Universal so there is a place there. Hmmm... now I have myself thinking. ha ha ha....

Living here in Central Florida is starting to be a drag.

There's lots of entertainment opportunities in LA, are you kidding??

God bless Florida, but having been there a number of times, mostly on business but also on pleasure...I think CA is better, no offense!

She's not in entertainment - she's a project manager.

About FL and CA., no offense at all. I never been to SoCal but I like everything I've seen. Weather-wise I hate humidity! Hate it. Our biggest problem would be the cost of living.

There's a few of us in Middle TN... We might get 4 members?! Uh... A Mid-South regional club (like KY, NC, SC, TN, Northern GA & AL???)

The pain of humidity is unpleasant! Yes, California is expensive, but if there is any time to buy here...it's now! Cost of housing is down.

Isn't Universal an 'entertainment' company?
