R55 Air Vents / Flow
Air Vents / Flow
If I want air to come out of the vents must I have the fan turned on?
All other cars that I have owned with sunroofs, if I crack or vent the roof air will flow through the vents. But with the mini I don't feel any. I have to turn the fan on even with the roof open to get the flow...help please.

I've never had a sunroof that had anything to do with air coming in the vents.
If the a/c is off and the fan is set to fresh air (not recirc), air should flow through the vents if the car is moving.

The way the vents work is that the fan has to be on to get air to flow thru the vents.
On manual systems that means the fan switch must be turned on.
On automatic systems the fan is really always on unless it is just turned all the way down and even then it is still on just a little bit. At least it is in my car, the car can be stopped and there with the fan all the way down and i still get a little bit of air flow.
