I have had a problem getting the right suicide door to open. When I pull the handle it won't release: almost like there is a child safety switch. This happened once before and self corrected. I can't find anything to indicate that there is any such safety lock. Anyone having this problem? Or is there something I should be doing to get it to work? Thanks!

Hi! I'm having the same problem too. It's been in the shop once for the door and a squeak in the back seat on the same side as the door. It worked fine for a month and then I couldn't open the door again. I've already had the mini in the shop for the second time for the squeak. I'd hate to have to send it back again. It's 50 miles to go to the dealer. They come get it but you're out of the mini for a couple of days.

it's a warranty issue. there is a known defective batch of the mechanism at the bottom of the door that hinges out when the front door is opened (to stop the club door being operable when the front door is closed).

mine was replaced under warranty and no issue since. with the issue apparent, to open the club door simply grab the release mechanism (little black triangle shaped thing that hinges out of the door) and pull it out a little further. it gets stuck part way and that's the problem.
