I just noticed that my digital speedometer tells me how fast I'm going - in reverse! It's my first digital so forgive me if this is a commonly known item.

 

What are you doing looking at the speedo while you are going in reverse?

 

It's more fun looking at where you've been!

 

It all depends on how fast you were going when you got there!

 

That might explain why the lady backed through her garage door on the house my parents had just bought. They got a discount

 

Now that you have made us aware of this "feature", I wonder how many will have to check it out?

 

Its good to know I can still comply with the Speed laws while going in reverse.

Lets see, the Clubman has rear wipers that run continuous in reverse. Wonder what else they compensated for? I suppose gas mileage is also being computed as total miles travelled. That might account for the lower numbers some are getting with hand calculations??

ITT, the reverse speed was demanded by the French.
They're used to that since Panzers used to roll thru Paris.

I noticed that reverse speed a month ago.

Now, if Mini could make sure the OBC was closer to actual MPG and Miles Left in Tank.
