Put my order in today with Desert MINI in Las Vegas. I appear to have gotten very lucky as I got a 2008 slot and production is scheduled for week 34. I'm very excited!!! FYI, they said they had a slot for week 39 for a 2009 model.

My MA emailed me today and told me that my Clubman has reached production already! It may be at the docks by next weekend - I am a little stunned at the speed!

Placed order on Sunday with Amanda at SouthBay Mini happy about MSRP pricing but we will not be seeing our PW Clubman until 2009 hopefully Jan. We were not willing to pay 5k over MSRP for a 2009 4-8 weeks earlier. Plus some SoCal dealers were insisting on Lojack and Nitrogen in the tires.

Waiting is the hardest part...

True! The ordering process went smoothly with Amanda South Bay Mini! We can't wait for our new 2009 PW to arrive!

I ordered CamRun at the end of June and was given an August Delivery date.

So far, everything has been on schedule as he's at the VDC and is expected at the dealership by the 17th of August.

One more grueling week of waiting...

Perhaps this news will help those who have theirs on order, or those who are about to: http://www.motoringfile.com/2008/08/...for-us-market/ MINI USA To Get 3000 More Cars for US Market!

Yea!!! I put my deposit down the end of June and I'm currently number 7 on the Clubman list and number 17 for the Clubman S (nope, can't get them both ) and at the earliest I was told Nov/Dec and for the S, around Feb. I hope my dealer gets some of this allotment!!! Would love to have it by Christmas.

The process for me went fairly quickly.

-I gave my deposit on July 19.
-My order was entered on July 21.
-Production started on either July 22 or 23, and was completed on July 29.
-My MINI was on a ship on August 1 and got off the ship on August 14.
-At the dealer on August 24.
-Picking up August 28. (Tomorrow! Yay!!)

Total time from deposit to pick up- 5 weeks and 5 days.

Not too shabby.

Flytime, you almost had me beat, but I was as lucky as anyone could be.
Ordered mine just like I wanted it and my dealer got me in a slot where production started the next day! Everything came together from there and I drove it off the lot 25 days later (see dates in my Sig below)

I haven't heard anyone getting an ordered MINI any faster than that!

After reading some positive posts about people getting their vehicles pretty fast we put in an order with LV Mini, we were given week 40, but a week later I called into 866-ASK-Mini and was told we are "tentatively" week 38. We will just fly out from SoCal to LV and make a mini trip out of it.

Just got my Production Number, Ordered 8/5/2008, QUESTION THOUGH...

  1. I orded my MINI "JUSTA"CLUBMAN, PW/PW/B on 8/5/08, just received a production number last night and show a status code of 111 (order accepted)..... my MA says he doesn't know when my order will go into production, yet, he stated that I only have 7 calendar days to finalize my order (which I've already done anyway), but I thought you could still change the order till the 'last minute'..... does the MA know when the last minute is???? does this sound right?
BTW: I have learned SOOOOOOOO Much from this site and look forward to learn more as the 'months' go by...... thanks to all for allowing us to read/learn and view your stories and insights!

oh, if anyone is wondering: JustaClubman/ PW/PW/B w/ AT, Antrhacite Headliner, XENON, FogLights, MFSW, Cloth Sports (Texas!), All Season 16" R90, Sport Stripes

It is apparently true that even though the car hasn't yet technically entered into production that changes can't be made. As for the exact number of days before production, that I don't know, but I'd guess that for any manufacturing that they have to have everything all set up and coded, etc., etc., in advance. But I know what you mean...for example let's say you want different wheels or something that doesn't seem so integral...

Congrats on the production number and enjoy the process!

You might find this thread extremely interesting and/or helpful, though I believe one has to have a Mac for it to work, someone has created a widget that bypasses that MINI Owner's Lounge with it's horrible music that lets you track your MINI https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=145648 though it will never be as up-to-date as the ASK MINI number, it's pretty handy.

Thanks Otra for the link, can't wait to be able to use it!

Congratulations Reldieh (and I'm jealous of you and the others who get theirs quickly), please post pics! I love that color combination and your choice in names too.

Wooohoooo! MA called me on Sat and said that are ready to build!!!! I'm like an expectant parent though: a little freaked out and also very excited! I thought I'd have another month to deliberate on the build, but I will submit it to him tonight and finalize tomorrow. I have posted on the general Clubman forum my build specs (and welcome any feedback), but I feel good about my decision and now can't wait to see the next steps in the process. He said, likely build will be in Oct and I may have it by Thanksgiving. Then I will have even more to be thankful for.

Coopdy, that great! I read somewhere that an 2700 Mini's will be build over the next 3 months. Perhaps that's the reason things are moving faster.

gotta wonder

ok, so if the USA is getting xtra allotment from the lack of productoin for the new cabrio, you have to wonder out loud where they are getting the xtra 2500+ engines, transmissions, etc.... if Peugot was at capacity for engines (IF? I dont know if they were).... would you think that quality might give?...

just wondering out loud since a bulk of our cars will obviously be made in next 4-6 weeks or so... I mean think about it, the convertible MINI factory will be making MINI's for the interim, I hope it's not too much of a difference for them, right??.. just wondering out loud....
