We are getting 1 Clubman S (PW/B)...We talked about 2, but the other one will have to wait for a later time!! Unless of course someone wants to give us the $$ to buy a second one...anyone???

 

So who's Clubman is it?

I am a generous person, but I've already told my husband I'm not sharing. He told me I can't get the loan without him, so I MIGHT let him drive it down the driveway

I keep telling him that there're lots of multi-MINI families out there. I configured a MCS for him. He's just going to have to get his own

 

We are sharing it. As much as I'm not a 'sharer', we are! rasputinj has always wanted a MINI (his Dad used to have one back in the 70s) and I fell in love with the Clubman, so we're getting the MINI Clubman! We carpool each day and do most things together, so we're good!

 

heading to vegas tomorrow, but my clubman hasn't left the VDC, even though it was scheduled to leave the 24th! I'm freaking out that it's not going to get there this weekend. if not, I'm gonna have to wait a couple weeks to get it, and spend all the money to get out there again!

 

When did it hit the VDC? I am also worried about that, I purchased Southwest tickets yesterday, we have 3 day hotel already booked. That Clubman better be there when we show up.

I have been worrying about your situation. I am hopeful that our Clubman will be in the VDC on 10/12 and we will be in Vegas on the 22nd through the 25th.

Good luck, I am hoping for some good Clubman Karma for you. Remember you can still drive Angeles Crest highway from Lancaster to the 210 a fun drive on your way back to Culver City from LV.

Make sure to party like a Rockstar, your Clubman would not want it any other way.

 

Fingers crossed for you ebh. It's a stress-test to schedule anything tightly with these cars.

 

If it's not there this weekend (which will be an uber bummer) - go and have a good time anyway!!

 

got news today from MA that our Clubman S will be ours 1 week from today
In Charleston today, then gets a trainride to VDC then the truck ride to Memphis. It's 4 hour drive from home to Memphis but I'll try to hold it down on the way as it's finally getting here!! I'll have wings on the 3rd!

thanks well, the clubman did not arrive--my MA called up the VDC and got the car released friday, but by saturday evening it still hadn't arrived at the dealer. It should arrive Monday. My car had been more than a week at the VDC (9 days I believe) before being released, and was only released because my MA called them to get it done. I was having sports stripes put on, so maybe that slowed things down.

I may fly back Tuesday to get it. Had to rent a car and drive it back to LA since we only had a 1-way flight! They gave us a Mitsubishi Eclipse, which was slightly more interesting than most rental cars, but it was no Clubman!

I think with the two weeks you gave it, you should be fine. We did at least have a good time!

 

HTClubman and I are so sorry, we were hoping it would work out for you. That must have not been a fun ride back, when you were supposed to have a Clubman ride back. We are no longer having stripes put on at the VDC. I ordered a different set from Mightstripes.com and will have them put on when the Clear Bra and Tint is put on by LV Paint and Protection. So I am hoping we can get out of the VDC faster than 9 days. Did they give you any reason why it took so long? Some people have reported EPA running tests at the VDC on Clubman S, but nothing confirmed.

 

I'm sorry to hear Did the dealer give you any freebees for it? Not that it's the fault of the dealer but I bet they would to make up for the 2 trips.

 

How do you get the option to get the VDC to install the stripes versus having the dealer installed???

 

Not sure, that's just what my MA said would happen. I wish my dealer could have done it though--might have saved some trouble!

Anyway, I'm off to Vegas today to pick it up! I hope I can figure out the clutch and make it back!

Congrats, try not to grind it till you find it on the clutch. Have a great weekend with your Clubman... We canceled our sports stripes and purchased a set from Mightystripes that are a little different. We will have then installed along with the clear bra and tint.

 

Our new clubman is finally home
I had the best 4 hours driving home from Memphis today.
Lots to learn but the Ipod interface was fantastic and almost as much of a pleasure as the Clubman was to drive.
Spent very little time adjusting the seat but for the ride home it was very comfortable. This car is truly a fantastic ride. Cannot wait for some real curves, taking monday off just to play

BTW Please give me my wings!
