I'm in So Cal so everything is illegal (even light tint on front windows).
I tinted the mini 35% all around with 45% on the windshield.

Amazingly enough, the 35% all around looked nice (subtle and light color) but wouldnt cause unwarranted attention from the police. I added the front windshield tint and now the car looks like it has dark to limo tint. Unfortunately, my Garmin no longer has a signal . . hence the front windshield tint has to come off.

 

lol i doubt 45% had anything to do with the signal. 45% isnt much at all.

now 5% on my windshield, really killed the range on my Viper 2 way alarm... lol

 

It is all about what the tint is made out of not how dark it is from what I have been told.

As soon as I peeled of the windshield tint, my Garmin works perfectly. Turns out the tint had metalic particles . . .they sell a tint w/o metalic particles. 02Doooce
