- Issigonis, perfect! But I don't think it would make a good name for a clubman - anyone else have some good names?

HI all, Seems like I've posted this all over the place only to never find it again. All the other minis & MINIS have been named OAF. My 59 Morris Mini Minor was imported from England in about 1966 and still Carries its British
plates....776 OAF. Naturally my family named it OAF. The 03 Mini S was OAF 2 then 05 was OAF 3. New Clubman just didn't fit the OAF mold. Had to come up with something More Suitbale. My 5 year old grand daughter came
up with.....The Gingerbread Man....Perfect.....run,run,as fast as you can.Catch me if you can,........perfect..... perfect...For a HC Clubman.

Ever since I made the first configuration back in Feb, the name "Time Bandit" has been stuck in my head. Now it just seems natural. I never had a name for my current car (Infiniti J30) but the car before that was "Exit" and the truck before that was "Interceptor" My MG Midget is called "Rush". Ive always had a thing about naming vehicles.

"Izzie", which is really short for Issagonis and was suggested by my daughter after she had read a magazine article about Sir Alec. When I pointed out it should be a female name, a lady running friend of mine said Izzie could be short for Isadora Duncan, a free spirit if ever there was one. Take your pick. Note that the spelling has changed over the months. Not sure which I prefer.

Hey ClubDal - great name! I too love Queen! Very fitting. I just ordered a chili red clubman and have to come up with a name. Maybe I'll go through my Queen CDs!

She's been driving it for a couple of weeks, but I got to go toss it around the slalom course and skid pad for a couple of runs.

I suggested a couple of names- "Chubby" because of all the checkered acoutraments, and "Wilbur" because people liked the barn doors and it reminded them of Mr. Ed.

She says the name will come to her. Perhaps on a long drive or when we finally get plates for the car. For now, I may just call it "Partner" in reference to the town in Paint Your Wagon...No Name City.

Finally settled on a name... ROLO.

Originally an English candy kicked off in the 1930's, brought into the US later... dark on the outside caramel in the middle - ties well with our HC/BLK/Tuscan scheme. Lastly, MINIs and ROLOs are truly sweet and the name goes well for motoring!

I used to love eating Rolos when I was a kid. I think that's how I developed my passion for chocolate and caramel in tandem. Great name.

I'm sure a trip through your Queen CDs will provide AMPLE inspiration for a new name!!! Can't wait to hear what you come up with!

I LOVE ROLOS!!!! I always have my candy dish at work full of Rolos and Andes Mints. I just about have a heart attack every time someone says they've never heard of Rolos. THE HORROR!!!

Mine will be "Zug" or "Zuggy". Depends on what I feel when it gets here. Not real original but it seems to work for me.

Mine's Wubzy or Wubbzy...if you have kids between 3 & 6, you may know the reference. If you don't, well, it's spunky with a little mischief thrown in.

NAM - thanks for deleting the post with "unclean" language.

My MCC CR/B now has a production number with delivery in late July/early August. "Fenway" wants to come home!!!!
