Has anyone had the clear protective bra put on at otto's mini in West Chester, PA? Considering this as an option but wanted opinions first. Also how was your overall car buying exp? Thanks.

I wish I would have gotten the Invisashield when I got my 06 from them.

I have been been very happy with all my service work from Otto's. They have gone out of their way for me several times over the past 3 years.

The Sales staff has changed since I bought my MINI but I had a good experience. The price was firm. There was no bargaining.

Thanks for the imput and reply. I see you are from Lititz, I grew up there and now live in Manhiem Twp. Nice to meet someone local on here! We ordered a clubman from there a couple weekends ago.

We ordered our Clubman May 5th from Otto's.
There was a sales staff change after our order that I found out about during a call in, and it took 2 days before the manager called back. But when he called back he had our production number and details, so we're thrilled about that. Just kinda nervous about dealing with an MA that I've never met.

We're getting the invisishield, it's a necessity in the Pocono's during the winter with all the salt and stuff spread on the roads.

Congrats!!! You are just down the road (501) from me.

What color combo did you choose for your Clubbie? Any idea on the arrival date? I'll have to keep my eye out for you. Not too many Clubman's here yet. But the MINI population sure is growing.

Hello to the Lititz and Manheim Township residents!

I'm here in Lancaster and I am pleased to report that there are two new Clubmans in town. There's a new Pepper White/Silver that just came from Otto's on Monday and a Mellow Yellow/Silver Clubman that has been here for a month or so. Both are right in Lancaster and have their home bases near F&M.

You are so right, o4amini - I see quite a few MINIs in Lancaster and their ranks do seem to be growing! Happy motoring to you both!

Colors
Well my wife chose pepper white with black roof and mirrors, but I was pushing for the all white! I haven't won yet, but I think there is still time to make a change . All the time you have to wait really makes you think about your choices...we started thinking HC, then it was SS and she finally picked the PW. We haven't seen a PW with a white top in person so thats the only reason she has picked the black top. I will keep my fingers crossed!

I'm partial to the Pepper White and Black combo. It is striking. Good friends of ours have an all Pepper White Clubbie and it's very good looking as well.

I get by F&M quite a lot. I'll have to keep and eye out for those Clubmans. Thanks for chiming in Pooch Style. Do you make the dog beds for MINIs?

I agree - the Pepper White/Black combination is quite sharp! I haven't seen the all PW Clubman, but I think that the contrast between the PW and Black is really nice.

Hello, o4amini! Yes, we make the dog mats for the MINI! I see you are in Lititz - I graduated from Linden Hall, so I get over there from time to time. I usually find myself leaving town with pretzels from Sturgis and/or Wilbur Buds - yum!!!

Do keep an eye out for Clubmans if you are around F&M - both owners are incredibly nice and just love their new Clubbies!

Linden Hall
I used to live across the street from the horse stables right at the "y" intersection of Kissel Hill! Small world huh!?

I talk with the lady who runs the Boutique at Otto's and I thought she told me that you were from Lancaster Co., when I first saw the dog mats there.

We currently have no pooch. If we did I certainly buy one of your mats. They are very cool.

I have to laugh about the Wilbur Buds. I've sent them to fellow MINIacs across the country!! Everybody loves them.

I live in the great hamlet of Brunnerville. We'll have to get together for coffee or something when you get your Clubbie. It's always great to meet fellow motorers.

Re: Linden Hall
Ooops! My apologies - I accidentally posted that before I finished. Sorry about that!

It is indeed a small world! I don't know if you've been back that way recently, but Linden Hall's campus has changed a lot in the past few years. There is now a large indoor arena next to the stables and a new fitness center as well. New additions and further renovations to the campus are planned over the next few years.

Good luck with waiting for your Clubman. I had not really thought about that, but with so much time to wait, you would really have time to ponder the choices that you made. Regardless of which way you end up going with respect to the roof color, I think it will look great!

Oh yes, Joyce from Otto's is wonderful! Thanks for the compliments about the mats - we have a lot of fun working with MINI owners!

Wilbur Buds are delicious! I regularly take them as gifts to friends from out of town. The only bad part about going to school in Lititz was enduring the smell of chocolate depending on which way the wind was blowing. Between that and the smell of pretzels baking at Sturgis, it almost like sensory overload at times! These days living in Lancaster I tend to buy pretzels from Hammonds which is close to me and send those out to friends. Their chocolate covered pretzels are so yummy!

Oh my goodness, Brunnerville! I took riding lessons down at the former Hammer Creek Farm as a child, so I know all about Brunnerville. Wow, it really is a small world!

Lititz
My parents still live across from the stables, and I now work in Lititz on Cedar Street... just close enough to smell the Wilbur buds being made!

Take a look at this post for some more information on alternatives to Dealer invisashields.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ighlight=x-pel

Jeff S. gave me the name and number of the guy who did his X-Pel, and I am happy to pass it along if you would like.

Growing up near Philadelphia, Wilbur Buds have always been a sometimes treat. I only know two places nearby that still carry them. I am working through a bag of the dark ones right now; they are amazing. Of course, I am waiting for a very special one that I expect in August.

Oooooh! The smell of Wilbur Buds being made was torture sitting in class before lunch!

Wilbur Buds are a special treat - will you carry some in the glove box of your Clubman instead of Grey Poupon? If you ever need a fix, let me know!

There is an Installer in Media that did my Clubman. This guy is the best for installing the Clear Bra. His name is Allan Handcock. He is certified by 3M and backs his work.

I am very happy with the work he did on my Clubman.
Had the hood and lower front bumper, and Headlights done. also have him do the clear door edge guards.
He takes great pride in his work. Has the car a few days prepping it and touching up any paint chips that you might have gotten.
are you part of Philli Mini car club?

Gary, I am not a member yet, because I am waiting on my Mini to arrive, probably right before Labor Day.

Gemgirl, I am trying to figure out the same thing. I think it depends on the product they use. You should ask Otto's what they use. Also, if you are trading in, it might be inconvenient to trade in, take your car somewhere to get shielded and be without your new Mini for a few days.
