So I get to Niello Mini to check out the Chili Red MCs they had on the lot. I walked up to it and was disappointed that it in fact had a "SOLD" sign in the window. Too bad.

After looking around for a couple minutes, the MA I have been working with walked out and was very friendly. He said that they had someone back out of a special order that was due for delivery today! Sure enough, a BRG Clubman S w/ Premium, Convenience, and Cold weather. EXACTLY what I've been looking for!

Unfortunately delivery estimates are never 100% correct, so it looks like it will likely be Tuesday before it will actually arrive and be ready to drive off the lot. But we negotiated a deal, financing and all, had my trade-in appraised and was happy with the appraisal, and I'm all ready to go. I'm paying MSRP and getting free floor mats and sports stripes. Not too bad.

I can't wait to join the BRG Owners Club! It's almost too good to be true, it's crazy how things like this work out.
I am very happy with you. I am glad everything worked out better than expected

I have seen a BRG/Silver Clubman S and looks fantastic I would not mind going this route for my next Clubman.

Again congratulations and enjoy

I keep meaning to put my BRG in a nice, photogenic spot...but have been busy... Now, I have to wash it again - the curse of the dark colors and a wild cat that likes to walk across the bonnet.

As for the camera...I willed my very slightly earlier version to our daughter...and got this one because I needed the even larger screen size. All these Canons are good.

Well I called my dealer yesterday, and supposedly the truck was supposed to roll in yesterday, but it didn't. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be in today, they seem pretty sure it will be. They said that they want the car out of there by saturday for sure (monthly sales marks?), so I'm hoping for tomorrow.

The MINIUSA OL updated the "estimated delivery date" to 5/28/08, which was yesterday. We'll see if it comes in today.

I think one of the first things I do to my car (although probably the day AFTER I get it, as I'll be busy motoring the day I get it!) is do a good wash, clay bar, and a hefty coat of wax. Then I'll take her to a lovely spot and take some pictures.

I haven't ever seen BRG/S in person, I've only seen BRG/B, which was my original first choice. The more pictures I see of BRG/S, the more it grows on me. Silver seems like a more practical choice for a roof anyway. Maybe it doesn't get as hot?

I'll keep you all updated!

I had a black roofed MINI and that car got very hot inside.
The Silver roof is easier to maintain and should be cooler.

That's good to hear. Like I said, I feared that it would get too hot. Plus like you said, black is a really hard color to maintain. Silver should be much easier. Thanks for reassuring my decision!

I'm patiently waiting by the phone, hoping my MA will call soon saying that it's in!

Another thing that is kinda interesting, the dealership that I bought it from (Niello MINI) only has 5 MINIs in stock right now; 4 convertibles and one Cooper hardtop.

So I'm guessing this shipment will probably be a big one for them!

Like I said, BRG/Silver is a gorgeous combo. Would not mind my next Clubman wearing those colors.

sorry to butt in again, but I am still trying to figure out why they tried to markup a used MINI beyond MSRP and this brand spanking new one they are selling you at MSPR?

again, awesome for you for sure ... jus ttrying to figure out the dealers logic as it makes no sense.

Couldn't tell ya.

The pre-owned one had more stuff on it, web spoke wheels, white turn signals, chrome line, etc etc, and msrp was much higher than this new one. Maybe they figured they could sell the pre-owned one easier?

I have no idea, but I'm not going to ask questions

I just got a call from my MA! The car is in, and it'll be ready tomorrow afternoon!

I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight!!! I almost want to drive the hour and a half just to go down and see it, even though i can't pick it up until tomorrow

AHENDY-
Your post date was 5/20 and you'll own a Clubman on 5/31.
Eleven days was your wait with all the research.
You got off easy. You'll have a big grin for weeks.

Yup! I didn't do too bad. This whole process has been a couple months in the making, but you're right, a little less than two weeks since I first looked at the Dark Silver Clubman. Not bad!

Stay tuned for photos tomorrow... Or possibly the day after, I don't think I'll be able to stop myself from motoring all day long tomorrow!

Well I don't have a whole lot of time to take pics and upload them, as I'm about to go out motoring to really try this thing out. But my first impression: UNBELIEVABLE. Here's a couple shots I snapped while I was at the dealer.

ahendy, she's a beauty!???
You heisted a car someone else ordered.
What were the packages?

I see they put the plates on the front. Bad dealer, bad dealer.
I bought a tow hook license plate mount today.

Yup, she's a beaut, no doubt. An absolute blast to drive as well.

CA law makes all dealers put front license plate brackets on. In fact I even had to sign something that stated that I understood why they did that. Yuck.

See my other thread for my first impressions + pictures soon.
