Drove from Gatwick to Fort William, Ben Nevis, Isle of Skye, 7 sisters mountains, Loch Ness, Inverness, Edenborough, Lake District, & Back to Gatwick in one trip. Gas is sold by the litre. Last fall I paid a pound a litre.
Bout 3.5 - 4 litres to the gallon?
oh yea, they make great Scotch also

Did you get to real Scotland - turning left at Inverness and getting across to Wester Ross and Sutherland? Single track roads with good tarmac (mostly!), very few tourist traps (apart from John O'Groats), and some world-class twisties!

Gas (petrol!) is now around GBP1.30 a litre or GBP1.40 for my premium diesel. (1 litre = 0.264 US Gal, or 1 US gallon = 3.785 litres.)
