who has modified their clubman yet? (performance wise)

Looking to see who has done what to get some ideas.

I have seen a few that are lowered with the H&R springs and they look great. But I would like to know how the ride is affected by this?

Has anyone put in the Alta chip, and or any of their inlet hoses?

I am trying to get a list of "stuff" that I would like to do, and here is what I have so far:

- ECU upgrade & Intake & some inlet hoses..
- lower ride height
- low weight 17" rims
- brakes (TCE, wilwood) yes, this will be just for looks, but then again why did we all buy this car?

Has anyone done anything else to help boost the power up? What are your reviews/thoughts of the products. Would you do anything different??

Hey There,
Just wondering, have you thought about what engine Mods will do for the warrenty. I have done some exterior stuff, but I am leaving the motor a virgin for the time being.

Good Luck, larry

yes, I have had numerous new cars and have installed performance parts on all of them, never had an issue with the dealer. That doesn't mean I wont in the future, but if you do it right there should be no problems. My Mercedes Benz C32 AMG had a lot of work done (mostly Renntech parts) and the dealer couldnt even tell when they hooked up the diagnostic machine, but the dealer still knew since I had told my service advisor.

One thing I am not sure I want to mess with is the downpipe from the turbo. I know Alta has a free flowing catalyst, but that I think might be the only part that is not easy to swap out if the dealer has problems. Everything else seems pretty simple to change out. Not too worried about the braking system either, I have never heard anyone being denied warranty work on a car due to a "better" braking system.

The whole dealer-mod relationship is completely different at each dealer. Some don't care and some are very strict on what they allow you to do before your warranty becomes void. A chip might void the warranty... but Im not sure about that.
