R55 Auto trans dip Stick
There probably isn't one.
If it is like our 1999 BMW 328, auto tranny with no dip stick. The factory thinking is that the trans fluid is a "lifetime" fluid that never needs to be checked or refilled. Yeahhhhhhhh......
Actually , it IS lifetime fluid. Our auto trans died at 100k miles. The transmission fluid DID last the lifetime of the transmission. It's just that the life expectancy is so Gawd darn short.
I HOPE that our Clubman comes with all the dip-stick appendages.

Sealed. See https://www.northamericanmotoring.co....php?p=2118135
I have a '97 Isuzu Rodeo with a sealed auto tranny that had a leak 2 years ago. It happens to be the same (GM of France) tranny used in several BMWs of that era. It was exceptionally irritating not to have a dipstick to ascertain how bad my leak really was. Isuzu claimed that the fluid change interval was 100K whereas BMW said it was lifetime fluid
. Same tranny, same fluid, different interpretation of service interval. So my point is your mileage may vary i.e. consider the fluid state/age before a flush vice a drain and maybe pro-actively drain and replace fluid before the so-called end of life of the tranny. My Isuzu leaks required several seals be replaced in spite of 2 fluid changes the 2nd of which was a flush which I am now skeptical of on older transmissions. I will stay with drains in spite of the fact that tranny oil is retained in the torque converter during a drain i.e. not all fluid is changed.
