R55 Manual or Automatic? Which is "better"?

I just got home from Crevier in Santa Ana and test drove a ClubMan-S manual. I have to say that while I like it, I'm gonna stick with the auto. Who knows how long I'm gonna have the car or what kind of commute I'll have in a year or 3.... I'll be 36 on Sat and who knows what shape my knees are gonna be in in the future
