I love BRG

I have soooo fallen in love with my car and BRG that I had my vespa painted to match... Now I have twins!

I am now the proud new owner of a 2010 MCS in this most iconic of colours. I pick her up on Monday!
This is the first car I've ever bought so I'm pretty excited. I will post photos when I can, but this is what it will look like. Got a great deal on the R113's. Now to save up for the JCW Aero kit!

Say hello to my Bad Ride

Our first MINI. Our first car.
My wife and I decided it was time that we treat ourselves to some grossly self-indulgent fun, and this is what happened. How'd we do?
Sorry about the load in the back, had to cart away the stock tires!

Can I join? Picked up my BRG Clubman at the new and still un-finished dealership last Wednesday and drove straight to MOTD8

Had Oscar since August and have been a little slow joining the group.

And I'm not kidding, that's a very beautiful car! The black wheels look great.

Oops, just saw the BRG club topic, didn't notice the whole category. There are just too many threads on here sometimes, guess I will have to pay more attention next time. And thanks for the props.

No discrimination, please! Us BRG-ers need to stick together, model type regardless. Besides, if you count the number of non-clubbies posted on this thread, you might find there are more hatchbacks.

I like this quite a bit. I like the BRG that I have, but the lighter one here is much cooler to me.

Just ordered a BRGII/BLK Clubman. i am a little worried about it with respect to resale and to nicks/chips from driving. This is probably the wrong place to ask, but should i change my order to Pepper White? I have loved pepper white since the 2002 mini. I ordered green because it looked so nice in the showroom and i liked that it would be somewhat unique. (at least compared to PW)
Note: the resale value comment comes from the fact that I tend to not keep my cars very long and i have not gone into the realm of leasing.

Re stone chips: the paint seems strong, and I'm not sure white would show any chips less anyway. On a MINI club run, we encountered a long stretch (ie miles) of new road with lots of loose gravel - the windscreen was damaged but there are no stone chips on the paint. In fact, no chips in 75000km. My car's also received several dents in parking lots and the paint hasn't cracked with any of them - so it seems flexible as well as strong.

I can't speak for resale values in the USA. I think the dealers here find white an easier colour to sell new, but the resale should be much the same I would guess - at worst, it might take a shade longer to sell, but I don't think second-hand buyers are so particular about the colour. Something like the new spice orange I think will date quickly, so that could be harder to resell, but BRG is pretty timeless on a retro-styled car like the MINI. That's all just my guesses though.

I've been looking all over the web and this forum looking at pics of a BRG Mini W/Black roof. I'm trying to decide on some stripes I am going to get painted on the Bonnet and Boot. I've not decided if I want to do the roof yet with the Black Union Jack. I'd like some opinions on the strip colors. I am leaning towards black with a whit pin stripe. I also like the Shelby stripes but I think I would need the white pin stripe around the edges of the black to pull it off. I just think the black on the BRG is too dark. Thanks for the input. I'm just happy to finally have a MINI! I love this car.

Yep ... black roof, black stripes with a white pin to set them off ... I haven't put any stripes on the little guy, yet.
