I think the sound of the Clubman S is perfect.. all-new exhaust compared the R56 and it shows.. mine is Euro-spec so it POPS bigtime!

Volume is just perfect, not too loud but certainly not too quiet!

 

After a few more hours in Red, I'm really starting to appreciate the slight increase in ride height. I can think of a half dozen or so places here in Austin (including my driveway and the parking garage at work) where I would whack the R53's chin EVERY SINGLE TIME. Haven't scraped the R55's air dam once!

Wow, what kind of camera and lens you use on this picture?

 

Nikon D80 and a Sigma 10-20mm wide-angle lens. I took three bracketed shots at different exposures and applied HDR processing to arrive at the final image (hence being able to see detail both inside and outside the car).

i*m living near Kaiserslautern (Airforce in Ramstein)..and we got US/Nato BMW&MINI Pentagon Sales.

they have nice cars and nice selling rooms!
i would love too buy one :( it*s sooo cheap to buy a US version..but you must be in Nato or have an American as Partner.
they told me that the americans who live in germany prefer the clubman version the germans..they are little bit too conservative,but the people like them, i always had to answer question from people who ask me about the clubbi.

Finally got my stripes. Here's my first couple of photos before my batteries went dead. Also changed out the standard grille and replaced with a JCW unit.

 

Very sleek looking and quite different, too!

It's so interesting to see how we all choose different things to complete the "youification" of our cars. I paid extra for the exterior chrome line because I wanted to recreate my original MC's exterior grille, while you did away with yours!

So finally got my R99s, absolutely love them! But I can't keep the license plate BADMINI :-( There are some issues since they are off of my R53 that I traded in. I guess because my fiance's name was on my last Mini along with mine, but it is only me this time. I don't know. But wheels look sick!!
Can't wait until the wing comes out. I am seriously thinking of putting that on to take away from the 'station wagon' look.

No worries, just personal preference. Maybe if the stripes were without that white border I would have ordered them too..

JCW Aero kit isn't ready yet for the Clubman.. end of this year is what my dealer says...

Buy some Eibach/H&R springs.. will look stunning

I disagree, William. I have always liked a dark exterior with "saddle guts" as we used to call them. I think its one of the most attractive combinations. I think that Clubman is da bomb.

In fact, when I was ordering my Pepper White Clubman S, the fact there was no fabric or leatherette tan interior choices kept me away from the dark color paints. (Leather put me over budget)
