Rallystance- I always enjoy your photos, despite the fact that I see you hitting things with that low slung Mini. What I like best is that great way your car brings out the beauty of our HC color!
Question- if you hadn't got the HC, what color would you have picked for your look? I'm going to guess black, but I'm curious how you feel about that lovely shade of brown that Mini came up with. I like mine more with each passing season. I'm thinking it's a color that will do well with time.
Do you see your rally Mini as a long-term project, as in a decade or more?

Yah, I hit things all the time, it's part of the fun

I absolutely love the color HC. It's such a deep color with all the gold flake in it. Away from light it's almost black but get it in the sun and it's a blazing golden brown.

Had they not offered the HC color, my second choice was Nightfire red with body-colored roof.

I'm not sure how long of a project it will be, but I do plan on keeping this one for a long time to come. I'm sure it will keep evolving as time goes by.

In SF you can certainly lighten your load that way! Shed some exhaust weight, etc

I just collected my 08 Clubbie D, I love it. It's my 1st Clubman and I think its going to take some getting used to with the views in the rear view mirror and the lack of visibility over the drivers side shoulder but apart from that its awesome

The infamous 'S' still eludes me for now...

My 2011 Clubman S

Hey folks... first post.

Picked her up from Crevier here in So Cal last week. Eclipse Grey, Sport & Premium, 17" Black Webspokes, Chromeline int/ext. Having lots of fun after coming out of a P-car ('98 993 S).

Jeff

You can tell Clubbie drivers; our heads tend to bob side-to-side a little bit

Zimbo, Assume that the D is for diesel (which we can't get over here) so if I can ask what you are getting for mileage? Thanks.

They list the Cooper D consumption on the mini uk website at 72.4 mpg

But our gallon measurement is different from yours

Gmodder, that's looking good! That looks like a cream/white interior, and if that's so, it brought a smile to my face because it reminded me of my old karmann ghia. It was painted a custom off white color, and had the body color visible on the inside dash. Our two pepper white MiNIs have been in homage to that ghia. I've never had the color in the seats or the dash like that. Again, you may have a grey interior but it still has the same effect: a nice way to bring in the color of the car into your view as a driver. Awesome!

The auto rocks...I'm so glad I got the auto with my Clubbie.....I don't see paddle shifters on your steering wheel though, did you not get them?

I've been hauling lumber for the past couple of days..they are 6 footers and go between the front seats to the speedo...in the old days with my '05 MCS, I'd have a heck of a time trying to flick the shifter with my wrists cause anything I was hauling got in the way of shifting.

Oh no wonder I couldn't see them, the steering wheel is upside down here, lol. The 2011 all black inserts confused me. You should get Way's Diverter Blow Off Valve too...it dramatically improves non sport mode in the Clubbie.
