It looks like I won't be taking delivery for another 3-4 weeks. :(

 

How do you know that you will not be taking delivery for another 3/4 weeks?

I almost wish that I wasn't able to track the status... this is getting frustrating.

 

I finally emailed my MA this morning because I was not convinced that my car was truly still sitting on the dock. She emailed me back and said, "just finished looking up your car, and I have wonderful news…Your car is on its way. According to my records your car is on the boat in transit. I will continue to keep you updated."

I am the first car sale for my MA, so she did not realize that I want MORE INFORMATION! Please give me the name of the ship! What is my booking number? I've emailed her back and asked for that info. BUT, that may be good news for those of you who are also getting the cold shoulder from WW when you input your VIN. Contact your MA and ask them to check for you.

I think it finished production about a week ago. I have not kept real close watch. It was ordered in November but, since it is a Clubman, I knew it wouldn't be here before the middle of February. I drove myself crazy with our first MINI order, so I am trying not to do that with this one. I know this isn't much help, but try to be patient. We are lucky to be on the east coast. The boat ride only takes 10-12 days.

 

I just called my dealer as was mentioned above. He put me on hold for a few mintes and came back to tell me that my car had actually JUST shipped. I don't know if this means today, or a few days ago, but rest assured he said I was looking at a delivery for the last week of Feb. He said Either Feb. 20th or later.

I'm much more relieved now that I heard that news. I didn't really ask what shipping company or boat or any of that, just so I wouldn't be annoying or getting on his nerves. My dealer also always calls once the car has a trucking date to drive it from the distrib. center to the dealer.

K-Line is the other shipping company... therefore.. it will NEVER show up on the WW site....

Go to the K-line site and check on the schedule for that ship!!!

Friday I was told by my MA that I won't be seeing the car until the end of Feb or first week of March. Shuckssssss

 

Looks like I am on the Embry sailing direct to Charleston!!! Yeehaw!

The OL still shows my MINI as on the dock so any of you with MINIs heading to the southeast may be in the same boat at me.

Never mind, here it is: http://206.103.2.35/GctApp/search?id=tracker Unfortunately, K-line's global tracking site only allows you to track container cargo, not cars and such. Oh well. Keeping my hopes up.

 

If you check the map that they have... zoom in several hundred miles off the coast of Spain... you will see the Emden. Not a very snazzy tracking method, but for those information-starved guys like us, it is better than nothing.

 

I'm on the Emden with ya'll! MA got back in touch with information just a bit ago. Emden is expected in port in Charleston on 2-11.

 

Now I am getting real pissed..... My Clubby was completed on 1/17 and the car is still sitting at the port? Some of you have cars built after mine and already scheduled on a vessel? What's going on?

 

When did the Emden leave? My MA told me mine JUST left, but he never told me anything else. Maybe mine is on Emden?

 

At least you guys get to watch your cars come across the big pond. Mines been seating on the dock in N.J. since saturday. Now I have to wait til 16 Feb 08. Yea, I know.......

 

Hey gang... Finally I have some good news to share... After I shoot up an email to my MA, she cameback and said that my Clubby is booked in the "Emden" departing...TODAY!!! YAY!! What a relief!!! The ship is a few days late because it was supposed to have departed on 1/31. Anyway, so how many of us aboard the Emden?
