Thanks for all the info on NAM here. I called the 800-ASK MINI and found that my Clubman is out at sea heading for New York on the Manon.

It's a MINI USA Clubman..

Mine - according to my MA - went into production on the 15th... so by middle of Feb. she should be here I have enough time to have a sign made for the garage "SCUDERIA MINI"

Just checked with MINIUSA and my Clubman is still awaiting at Southhampton for a shipping vessel. No shipping info is available at this time. The car was built last week. Looks like I won't be taking delivery until the last week February at this stage.

Checked on the OL as well, it says awaiting transit as well. BUT, when I plugged the VIN number on the site listed in the 1st Gear folder of this excellent forum it says that it has been loaded on to the MANON. Checking up on the MANON, it is already well at sea and on the way!!! Though the OL has not changed status, the ship seems to be making progress. This tracking thing is so cool.

I entered the VIN on the W&W tracking site and it returns "No info on shipping". So at this point in time it appears that my Clubby is still sitting at the port waiting to be assigned a ship.

Bad Day!! I placed my order back on 10/17/07. However I asked the dealer to hold up in that from info I saw on line I was hoping for the JCW Clubman. I finally came to my senses and diecided that I had to push the order forward in December. I have been waiting and checking minusa.com owners lounge, but seeing the same thing--an order has been entered--but nothing else. I finally called ASk MINI. Darn--production is set for week 9!
Too much foreeplay and not enough real play. At least I won't have to buy snow tires this season.

Does any one know how long it takes for Mini's online tracking to post their updates. My Clubman is scheduled for production for week 6 (based upon talking to a rep at ASk MINI). However, the tracking web information and automated system still shows "on order" with no confirmed production date. Just curious...

Call AskMini again. (or just send them an e-mail like I did) They have much more specific information. I think mine still said "scheduled for production" while it was sitting at the port. I've stopped checking that now that I know what boat I'm on.

I think I might have just sent an e-mail through the website, now that I think about it. But, the address they replied to me from is mini.assistance@askminiusa.com

You'd probably get the same/similar info by calling, but I just don't like the phone all that much

Mini site is at least 5-10 days behind

Mine finally move to Production Scheduled on Sunday of the week it was built and moved to enroute after the ship was 5 days out of Southampton.

Now they just need faster ships. :impatient

Mine is also awaiting a shipping vessel. It has been at the port since 1/21, making it 8 days already. That seems kind of unusual. I wanna see my Clubman.

Here's a question for everyone.... What if we see the first Clubman when they come in Feb 15 and we think it's hideous and don't want it anymore? Is there any way to just cancel the order and go for a regular Cooper? I have been thinking about that a lot. I mean, we have never actually seen one in person, and it could look a lot different in person than online. I'd like to think that in that case I would be able to just order a Cooper S without losing any money

That is up to your dealer. This is a very important question to ask before placing an order. What happens if at the last minute I decide for a, b,c or x reasons not to buy it? My dealer allows you to withdraw commitment to the car even if the car is already sitting in the showroom floor and they will refund your order deposit, no questions asked. But again this varies from dealer to dealer as most of them are independently owned franchises. Talk to your MA and find out what is their policy on that regard.

My MA told me mine would be built in week 5... no updates from 866-ask-MINI yet, it just says "no confirmed production data"

It seems to me MINI is taking their sweet time to build the Clubman. I ordered mine on Dec 12 and did not enter production until Jan 15-16.

I think one reason for that is they didn't want the Clubmans to be in the U.S. before the launch date in February. My order was Dec. 7th and it was completed Jan. 15th then waited for the Isolde to dock on the 21st. I know my MA said the prespecs were done in late December, but had to sit at the docks for awhile so they wouldn't get here too soon. Maybe hard to hide them from the public at the dealerships? I was hoping mine would be with the prespecs, but it ended up leaving later. It's ok, I've been waiting 25 months now, what's a few more weeks.

Well my Clubman is off the coast of Canada on the Manon. Ordered the new wheels and tires today so I don't have to drive on run flats. Can't wait til arrival date.

My Clubman is off the coast of Canada with Baby BMW's on the Manon as well. I did not order mine to be one of the first here since I told my dealer I did not want to take delivery until March, but looks like she's gonna be in town earlier than expected. That is unless they hold it at the processing center until the agreed on delivery date. Any one have any input as to how that whole thing works?

Same here. It's been a week and a half now just sitting there at the dock. Lets go fly over there and just drive them around the dock! I guess what happened was that the other ship left on 1/21 and they haven't had any more leave yet? Who knows, but its going to be a very impatient month.

My dealer apparently checks the status everyday, so he told me he would call once it left the port on a shipping vessel.....

...I still check the shipping website twice a day :(

I had no idea you could order a Clubman S in Night Fire red!
