Greetings!

I heard from my dealer yesterday that the Convertible is due out in the Spring of 2004. I am at the top of the list. Anybody have any other introduction date information? How about price range?

Not to make you mad, because it is just my opinion, but I don't like the looks at all of the cabrio. Just think it makes it look to much like the VW. Just my opinion, and I'm sure you will like it if you get it.

Cabriole or not, I would never mistake a MINI for a VW. Though I will have to think a rag top will not have the same handling capabilities.

I am going to have to see this in person before I can make a decision as to whether or not I will like it.

I'm sure I will like the fact that it exists though. I'd prefer a mini pickup personally

I've had a convertable and in Texas with the heat and dust, I found I didn't open it much. The whole inside of the car (as well as myslef) would end up filthy dirty! I hated cleaning every inch of the inside of the car just because I'd had the top down!

I'd like a MINI Wagon - the type with the double doors on the back! If they come out with one of those, I'd get on as my 2nd MINI - after the MCS I want now!

I totally agree. I'm a HUGE convertible fan but I think it looks awful with the top up. With the top down it looks really great but with the top up - yuck. Just my opinion. I'll stick with the world's best sunroof that I can use 12 months out of the year - both opened and closed!

Here's a concept idea photo I found and I am not really impressed with how it looks. I hadn't thought about how the cloth roof would look. I like the look of the hard top in a contrasting color to accent the car's body color.

Interesting "concept" picture with the top down. Wonder what it wil look like with a real top stack sitting back there?

Can anyone get us any Official photos ? ?

I'd really like to see how they do the cloth top so it looks like the MINI roof.

So how would a convertible model handle compared to the hard top?

You would have a big weight reduction with the rag top, but wouldn't you have more "chassis flex" without the roof.....just wondering about the performance factor.

I'm sure there would be a big "smile factor" on those nice days
