Contents of SIRIUS install kit for cabrio?

Does anyone know what the contents of the sirius install kit for the cabrio are? It's about 120 bucks (70 more than the hardtop kit). Seems like other people who are installing sirius in their cabrios are doing it without the kit. I know I will need the sirius receiver, the terk antenna, and the 2 to 1 cable splitter. I was planning on mounting horizontally behind the carpeting in the trunk as others had done. So, do I really need the kit?

Hmmm, I never knew there was one. Can you post a link for me? I've had Sirius for about 3 years now and would love to have it integrated into the head unit, but I'm unwilling to spend $500.00 doing it and they've been saying since I got my cabrio that they're still trying to get the antenna.

Classic mini and Mini of pittsburgh both have them listed under the audio and electric portion of their accessory website. The pull down menu lists the cabrio version for an extra 69.50. Here is a link to the mini of pittsburgh site.:

Thanks, Classic is about 8 miles from me, so maybe I'll go see what's included (one of these days)

Curious too...

Maybe a call to MiniUSA would answer the question. Could it be the long awaited antenna?

Not sure if it is the antenna. From the looks of the other items listed, still states you have to purchase the antenna separately. Might give MINIUSA a buzz though. Hopefully they will know the contents....

New Kit Available!!!

Just swung by my dealer and there is a cabrio kit available for sirius! Unfortunately, no new antenna. Had one mounted up on the lot. Not sure if it includes the wart antenna, but that is what they used on this cabrio. It was placed next to the factory antenna and had some cheesy looking wire cover over the antenna lead to tack down the wire. I was told that the sirius receiver was located on the driver's side, but i don't think the service guy I was talking to really knew (had to tell him there was a receiver in the boot). I know the changer cable is on the passenger's side with nothing else over there so really no point in routing it to the driver's side. Hhhmmm. Not sure if it will be easier to DIY as others on NAM or use this install kit.

What do you guys think?
