I wonder if they abandoned it. The Sirius kits that are being installed now (on the coupes) use a magnetic 'wart' like you would see for an aftermarket installation, or for XM. The integrated Sirius antenna that used to be installed on the coupes is no more. I guess this solved the issue where they could not install OEM Sirius on a car with NAV because that antenna already had the Nav receiver integrated.

Yep, that's the solution I came up with last year for my OEM SIRIUS on my Nav MINI.

Not familiar with the Sirius but if it is the same as the XM why not place it under the front radio antenna. That's where mine is located.

I might mount mine on the black stripe to 'hide' it a bit. Either the boot or the bonnet.

Ill try on the dash first and see how bad the reception is... but first I have to wait for the Stiletto Car dock comes out!

I have mine on the dash for both my cabrio and my SUV. Don't have problems with either of them. My mini is in the middle of my dash while my SUV is in the passenger corner. Barely can see the Mini one. Love it!

Silver Baby...

How is the reception with your dash mounted antenna? I'm wanting to put Sirius in my convertible and I really like the idea of putting on the dash.

I am not Silver Baby but...

I am not Silverbaby but I installed the Sirius antenna on my dash and I get great reception. Although I do get cuts under an overpass and densly treed roads.

Here are some pics https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=65917 post # 10. The wire you see is totally hidden in real life.

Thanks kwk mini - I don't mind the occasional interruptions of service...I get that on my MC and my van anyway (and both of them have an exterior mount antenna). I appreciate the response.
