Is it an Omen?

I sat down to wait for my flight at the airport today and noticed that someone had left some trash in the seat beside mine. Upon closer examination I realized that it wasn't trash at all, it was...

The copyright date on that ad is 2004!??!

OK, so the appeal of a convertible in the summertime is fairly obvious, but how does it fare in the winter? I like to be warm and toasty in the winter, and I happen to think that MINI's HVAC system is a poor excuse for an HVAC system even in the hardtop. Does the interior lose a lot of heat through the ragtop?

I trust the universe won't mind if I ask a few quesitons first .

My Cabrio is my second MINI. I find it to be warmer than my first. The roof is insulated & actually feels cocoonish. Perhaps because there are less windows & no gigantic sunroof the heat loss is reduced. Now with the top down on a winter's day, that's a different story

I put the top down with temps as low as 40-42 degrees. I ride with the back windows down with the air screen and the heater turned to 82 degrees and I find that I am quite comfotable.

Go for it. I am having more fun than anyone should have.
