Cabrio Roof

I have a 2005 Cabrio. After putting the top up and down I have white marks on the ragtop. I know this has been a problem for previous posts. What is the official position of Mini on this problem?

Everyone has white marks on the cabrio tops. There is a big discussion on the mini2.com forums. As far as i know there is a fix but only for wear problems. Go here to check it out.
