06 Mini S Convertible Driver Door Won't Open

Hi. Like the title says, driver door won't open from inside or outside. I replaced the door actuator door opened and closed no problem. Cranked car, door opened fine inside and out. Locked the door and the door won't open anymore. Unlocked the door, door won't open. Was feeling around in the door and the outside door handle had a nick in it and the wire was exposed, so I replaced the outside door handle. Door shut and opened fine. Cranked the car, door did fine both inside and outside. Locked the door and the door won't open anymore. Unlocked the door and it still won't open. Handles feel like something is loose, but everything is connected fine. Could this be a bad Body Control Module? No check engine light or issues on the dash. What could cause the door to not open only when you lock or unlock the door?

I think its more likely to be a mechanical problem. I had an issue a long time ago due to the bowden cable somehow getting too long so when it was pulled by either the handle or the electric actuator it didnt actually engage the mechanism. I jerry rigged a solution that worked for the years I kept that car... dont remember the exact details but I suspect I read about it here in the first place.:(

I would consider that too, but it worked with no problems a few times up until I locked the door. I actually have the door panel off now and it's been working fine the past couple of days. I have not locked the doors yet though. Again, I don't know why locking them would affect the door handles.
