Hi All, I have an issue with the tailgate light switch on my R52 2006 cooper. When you open the tailgate the light inside the boot (trunk) doesn't come on. Testing the switch it is switching on the wrong pin out, it switches between pins 2 and 3 (it's a 3 pin plug) but the cables on the socket are between 1 and 2. So either the wrong switch has been fitted at some point or it isn't functioning correctly. The switch part number is 9119052. Looking online there is lots of variations of these switches that look the same but have different part numbers so I'm wondering if the pin outs are different? The light works as I linked cables 1 and 2 and the light came on so I know that's working. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
