Howdy yall.
First off, I have searched this forum, google search, brave search, and other forums for help on this.
I have an 06 R52 and the wires inside the headlight assembly have had their insulation crumble. Bare wires all over the place and touching each other.
Here are my thoughts.
There must be a way to disassemble the entire unit so I can go in and repair/replace wires as needed.
OR
Can I swap these out with Halogen assemblies? I can find a set of halogen light assemblies for less than ONE Xenon assembly.
Here's the kicker... They have the washer sprayer on them too. I can not afford to buy Xenon replacements. CV Axles are due to come in from Amazon today. TRQ brand.
I just bought the car three weeks ago for $2,000 and have put roughly $500 in parts on it.
I have already replaced...
Upper and lower motor mounts
Both Control arm bushing
Plugs and wires
Oil filter housing gasket
Valve cover gasket
Both lower inner control are ball joints
Coolant resovoir tank
I appreciate any advice I can get on these headlights.
You can easily swap in halogen light fixtures. The lenses themselves are easily taken apart with heat, which im sure wiring would be easily accessible once the entire fixture is taken apart. Search up R53 joey mod if your curious about disassembly.

Thanks for your reply!
I did get a set of cheap halogen assemblies and they work great. Pulled off some of the washer hosing and tucked other bits away for if I ever get another set with washers, unlikely. BUT everything works wondefully.
