I took front end off of 2005 Cooper S to replace AC compressor clutch. I didn’t take pictures ( like a dummy) and now I can’t remember where these go.

I've had the front end off of mine and don't recall seeing anything like that.

I have had the entire front end off my R52 twice in two years for drivetrain removal....I also have not seen that little item either

That's the ONE RING to rule them all MINI's.

 

There are 2 of them. They are alignment nubs. They bolt to front end to help align the bumper. I attached a picture.

 

Wild guess here, is that is an isolator bushing that rides a bolt of the inner diameter and attempts to quell vibrations etc. Start with the fasteners of that diameter and then work way towards any vibration dampening devices.
How many of those have you found?

I am still trying to understand why you took them off in the first place?
