In a great example of how all your plans can go sideways, I find myself with a pile of bolts and no knowledge as to where they go. I’ve been carefully tracking all my bolts, individual containers for each major part. One trip and a tug on my workbench cover and my floor became the playground for my bolts as they flew away. What’s the best way of identifying these?

Labeled ziplock sandwich bags are the way to go with removed fasteners. Of course, that won't help you now. How many bolts/screws ended up on the floor and what components have been removed?

And I thought the magnetic bowls were such a good idea, but alas, I should have bagged and tagged 'em. I'm off to make a list of everything that is still to be installed on the car and start searching by part. I've got my calipers at the ready to measure each one. Good thing I'm on hold for a couple weeks waiting for parts!
