R52 rear bumper same as R53?

My R52 was rear ended, and I need a new bumper. I found a perfect R53 bumper, and wonder if they're the same. I watched a Youtube video on the removal, and they mention there's an extra bolt on the R53 bumper, in the middle/top.

Anyone have experience? I found an R53 bumper that I want to pounce on.

No they are not the same due to the hinges for the boot on the R52

I wonder if you could cut it out since the hinge covers up the whole..

You have the backup detection system?

You are talking the outer trim or the metal part that is under it?

Outer trim (cover) and yes, with the back up sensors. If you lift up the hinge covers on the ver, you'll see the bumper has cutouts for the hinges. Wondering how hard that would be to make new cutouts on a hard top bumper (no hinges since the hatch goes up, not down). The only other variable I know about is an extra bolt(s) that go in the top/middle.
