Looking for a R52, I know I want the HK stereo but if I 't find one without the stereo, what's necessary to get the stock set up to be good, all new components?

does the HK have special wiring that has built in amps that I would need to bypass?

Thanks.

I have an r52 with hk. If you want to go custom it is better to just get the base system. The hk system has an amp that is digitally controlled by the head unit. The speakers are also ohm matched to the amp. There is a device called the hk enabler that allows an aftermarket head unit to communicate with the hk amp, but it is better to be either happy with the hk system or just get one with the base system and replace it. There is lots of info about it in the sound section.
