08 R52 JCW performance mods, where to start...

I have decided that 210 HP is not enough. As the title states, I have an 08 r52 JCW (LOTS edition)and I wanted to add some performance mods. I dont know where to start. Would like the best bang for the buck. Everything is stock. Any ideas?

Performance is a broad term. To maintain best long term topless motoring performance, that canvass needs extra care and attention with either 303 or Ragg Topp. Don't ignore the fabric and keep it clean at all times. Also, if you don't have one, a wind deflector is huge in making the road trips more pleasant.

Now you can return to seeking out a few more horsies.

Without jumping on the BVH bandwagon, right up front, there are a few basics that need to be covered and some less expensive first step things you can do.

*CAI Flap removal, lets it breath just a little better.
*Pulley, this one's not cut & dry like on a standard S, if you decide to do a pulley be prepaired to have to cut it off, JCW's are notorious for being difficult to near impossible to remove with just the puller. (even w/ the correct sized one.) If you do decide to do it, go for the 17%, you already have the 380cc injectors + going from the JCW to the 15% would "maybe" net you a .5 increase in boost, really not worth it for all the trouble to change it.
*Crank Pulley, here's where the +2% Crank Pulley may be a real blessing, you can gain some extra boost by using it instead of going through the considerable effort of doing the S/C pulley + if it hasn't been changed yet, it will need to be eventually & it costs no more than the 0%, so you're basiclly getring a little extra boost for free.
*Cam, you basiclly have 3 options:
1. Adjusted Cam Gear.
2. Cam
3. Both
Just the Adjusted Cam Gear or Adjusted Cam Gear & Cam, will give you a little more power but most FUN of all, it will give you extra torque from about 2500+, it really creates a difference in how the car will pull & feel, it's one of those good "seat of the pants" differences. Also the ACG only, is less expensive than a cam & less involved to install. (I run Just the ACG w/ the stock cam & it made a big difference in the way the car feels to drive)
*Header, minimal power increase but the combination of the Header & JCW Exhaust, IMO, just sounds "sweet".
*Custom Tune, you can do this right away & make a good gain up front, I've seen 15+ hp increases from just a good tune (don't hold me to this, it all depends on how well your stock JCW tune works in coordination with "your" car, but an increase of some kind is almost always there) But, if you're thinking about doing any of the other items from above, just wait until you've changed "all" your parts, otherwise you'd just have to re-tune it again.

Other "Seat of the Pant's" only mods would include, the Sprint Booster & Rear Sway Bar. (I prefer my bar set "stiff" on my cabrio, don't know if it's the extra body weight to the car or just what feels better to me)

Good Luck
