I am thinking of getting my wife a Mini. If I get her a convertible, is there an aftermarket fiberglass top so she can drive it in the winter? Like the ones make for the BMW 3 series...
had such a top for my Miata which was made by SnugTop but it appears they only do truck tops now. There is still a Miata top but a quick look did not reveal who makes it, other than a reference that it ships in US direct from the manufacturer . . .
I would imagine a part like that even aftermarket would have to go thru some fairly stringent testing and scrutiny. For instance, how something like that would interact with the "Active Pop-up Roll Bars" which deploy when airbags are activated.....
I have been looking for something similar... a carbon fiber top would be cool as well. my only question is since the top sits above the trunk, where would the top latch onto?
